Send Speak! single mamis of color to this year AMC in Detroit! As Dia de Las Madres and Mother’s day comes to an end both in Latin America and the US, give some thought to the single moms out there who are radical caretakers, media makers and lovers, friends, hermanas and comadres who want to attend the conference that has been welcoming to both women of color and mamis in terms of developing a kids track and listening to us when we say child care is essential if mamis are to be involved in your conferences, meetings and revolutionary strategic planning.

You can either donate or purchase a Speak! Cd, zine & curriculum (zine and curriculum are in the final stages).



Buy some buttons or zines. If you’re part of a university, library or other organization, please purchase the Speak! cd at the institution price.

This year, the 11th Allied Media Conference takes place July 16th-19th. There’s plenty going on there, both before and after.

I’m also intent and trying to make it a day earlier to attend the Women’s Media Equity Collaborative Summit on July 16th. And yes, I will be taking the kids with me. Yeepee.
