My friend China Martens is touring from Baltimore to South Texas, promoting the book she co-edited, Revolutionary Mothering: Love on the Front Lines. Here’s the facebook event page for details on the dates and locations.
I’ve included a PDF of the poster with tour schedule and also a jpg. I created the redhead sirena image that she is using for the poster and other promotions.
I’ll be reading and selling zines and my book in Denton, Austin, Kingsville, Edinburg and Brownsville.
Denton-if I can find a place that will let us stay along with my 2 kids and my fur kid Marley, same as Kingsville. Though I might be able to just drive through- if pain, tiredness, etc plays along. The first week of November I have to turn right back around and go to Houston for drs appointments for a few days.
Here’s some ways that you can support me in able to participate in this tour:

-I recently starting offering creative prompts using the Collective Tarot Cards. This is a Tarot reading that is part creative prompt, part self-discovery? I’ve created a way to use Tarot in a creative healing way for myself and I’ll be sharing this process with you. You’ll receive a personalized creative prompt exercise inspired by the Collective Tarot Deck and the three cards that come up for you. This prompt can be used for a writing exercise or art session to contemplate the truths that are beyond us at the moment. More on these readings can be found here.
-Purchase some of my mixed media and photo collages found here.

I’m available to doing readings, virtual readings, workshops on topics such as zines, women of color in zines, South Texas history, borderlands, Gloria Anzaldua, zines as alternative forms of media, zines as teaching tools, zines as communication and radical acts. Fees are negotiable.

Inspired by the legacy of radical and queer black feminists of the 1970s and ’80s, Revolutionary Mothering, places marginalized mothers of color at the center of a world of necessary transformation. Join editor China Martens (The Future Generation, Don’t Leave Your Friends Behind) and others for a timely discussion of the challenges mothers face every day, and the ways we can work to collectively rise up together.
